100% Pure Long Last Liquid Eye Liner

Applying eyeliner can be such a tedious task. I mean, you’re trying to apply a super thin, super straight line on your eyelid which must remain perfectly still, and your face is all crunched up and you’re nearly squishing your face up on the mirror.

Then if you actually manage to get it right, you have to try and match the other side. So if you have an eyeliner that doesn’t play nice, it can just send you over the edge.

I take my eyeliner very seriously. Before switching to green beauty I swear I probably used every eyeliner out there. I can’t say that I ever found a real gem, even the good ones seemed to only do the trick for a short time, then they would dry out or get lumpy.

After greening my makeup collection, I was excited to see what the world of clean beauty could offer in the way of eyeliner, my first stop: 100% Pure.

Long Last Liquid Eye Liner: Black Tea

I was very excited to try the 100% Pure Black Tea Eye Liner, I had heard lots of good reviews. My first impression of this eye liner was a bit of a shock at the sheer size of it. It’s about twice as big as any other eyeliner I’ve used (7ml), which is awesome, it really off sets the price.

As you might have guessed with the name, this eyeliner is made from crushed, micronized black tea leaves, and contains no artificial fragrances, no chemical preservatives or any other toxins.

You won’t find it on the EWG database, but each ingredient is rated a clean 1, so it’s perfectly safe and most of the ingredients are organic, and it’s vegan too!

Ingredients: Camellia Sinensis (Organic Micronized Black Tea)* Leaf Extract, Vegetable Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis (Organic Aloe)* Leaf Juice, Xanthan Gum, Extracts of Origanum Vulgare (Oregano) Leaf, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Flower/Leaf, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf, Lonicera Caprifolium Flower, Lonicera Caprifolium Flower and Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower * Certified Organic

Pigment on Point

One thing I really love about this eyeliner is that it is extremely pigmented, the color is rich and dark and it goes on really smooth.I bought the black, and I’m very pleased with the color, it stays very dark even when it dries.

I have noticed that if you go over a spot that already has it on, it will kind of wipe it off, but it’s not a big deal if you just get some more on your brush, it covers back up.

My winged liner game has really stepped up since using the 100% Pure Liner. I love the brush, it’s really thin and doesn’t just flop all over. If it’s too sturdy it’s hard to make a flick, and if it’s too limp it just makes a mess, you know? They nailed the brush, in my humble opinion.

I was a bit worried that it might be awkward to hold, being so big, but it’s actually really easy to use. And I love how much you get, twice as much or more than most eyeliners.

Smudges, Water & Flakes:

You won’t have to worry if your encounter some rain (or waterworks) with this eyeliner, it ain’t goin’ nowhere.

It’s different than other eyeliners in the texture that it dries to. It almost seems like a silicone kind of rubber consistency to it. When I wash it off at the end of the day, it comes off in chunks, or if I catch my mascara wand on it, it might peel back a bit.

It’s kind of hard to explain, but it’s not really a bad thing, it makes it really water resistant. And it doesn’t smudge or flake off during the day at all, it stays right where you put it.

Price Point

100% Pure is such a great brand, they make quality makeup and skincare and I can’t complain about the price. Yes, it’s more than you would pay at the drugstore and if you’re not use to the green beauty prices, it might seem expensive but there’s good reason why.

They’ve found a way to make a products just as good or better (in my opinion) than what you would find at the drugstore and they’ve done it without using any of the nasties that some of those big-name cosmetic companies can’t seem to avoid.

So yes, you will pay more, but I don’t think it’s too much. And even compared to some of the other natural liquid liners, when you look at it from a price per ml standpoint, they are very comparable.

The Pros

The Pigmentation. I love how dark it goes on, and stays dark all day.

The Ingredients. 100% Pure is right!

The Brush. Easy to use and very precise for those sharp wings!

The Quantity. This eyeliner will last you forever.

It’s Staying Power. Waterproof, smudge-proof, flake-proof (is that a real word).

Smooth Formula. It’s not clumpy, thick or watery, it’s perfection.

The Cons

Yeah, there’s just nothing I don’t love about this eyeliner!

If you’ve been tossing the idea around, I’m tellin’ you, just get it! I was nervous to try a natural liner because it can be such a finicky process, but I’m extremely happy with this eyeliner.

This liner has got me obsessing over 100% Pure, I’ve also used the 2nd Skin Foundation, Concealer and Primer from their line and have been loving them!

Have you tried the 100% Pure Liquid Eye Liner? What’s your favorite?
