Infused Himalayan Bath Salts

If you’re looking to spice up your bath time routine beyond bubbles (how clique) how about adding something that will actually help you destress! You’re there to relax, after all.

What I’m talking about are bath salts. Not just any bath salts, infused bath salts. Sounds cool, right?

You can head on over to your nearest bath and body shop and pick up some overpriced, toxin filled garbage bath salts that will slowly beat down your immune system and cause allergies to appear out of nowhere (I’m talking about you, artificial fragrance).

Or you could take 5 minutes out of your day and make your own bath salts that are 100% natural and that have positive effects on your body. Tough call.

Well, if you choose the latter, you’re in the right place. We’re going to take some pretty pink salt, add some pretty all natural fragrance, and top it off with some super pretty died flowers! Let’s turn your bathwater into an Instagram-worthy #nofilters masterpiece! Seriously though, it looks super cool.

P.S. This would make a great Mother’s Day gift! See, I gotcha covered.

Positive Effects, You Say?

You’re probably well acquainted by now, but for those who are not, let me introduce you to essential oils.

Essential Oils

Basically, essential oils are highly concentrated fragrant oils extracted from herbs, flowers, and other by pressure or steam.

Each unique oil has its own set of effects on the body through aromatherapy, skin contact, or ingestion. Just because they are 100% natural doesn’t mean they are all 100% safe for everyone. Most oils are not recommended for use on babies and young children, and some oils are not safe to ingest at all.

If you’re brand new to essential oils, I recommend checking out my ebook on the top most versatile oils for everyday. This will kick off your collection and get you going in the right direction.

But for now, lets talk about the two oils that make a great addition to bath time:

Lavender

Lavender may be the most versatile oil, having effects on the skin, muscles and joints, digestion, immune system, and nervous system.

Adding lavender to your bathwater can help destress by relieving headaches, hypertension, insomnia and even act as an antidepressant.

Ylang Ylang

Ylang Ylang is also a very versatile oil, and by sitting in the aroma of this floral oil you can fight depression, nervous tension, and stress-related disorders.

And soaking in salty water will actually soften your skin and draw out impurities, pollution, oil and dirt that are clogging your pores.
