Calling all skin care junkies! I’ve found your new favorite hangout, and it’s strictly no toxins allowed 😉
Pure Beaute is an online clean beauty boutique that specializes in clean skin care. The founder, Miya is the most kind-hearted soul and I’m so glad I had the chance to get to know her!
It’s kind of amazing what is possible with the internet and social media. It gets a bad rep but when you can find people that you can connect with that share your same interests, goals, and values, it makes up for everything else!
Pure Beaute was founded on the same basis that I started this blog: a burning desire to create positive change.
Miya really takes her time choosing which products and brands are worthy of entering her boutique. She knows what is clean and when you’re shopping Pure Beaute, you don’t have to worry about reading labels. She’s got your back.
And for anyone out there thinking their choices are limited when it comes to clean skin care, visit her website, the selection is endless! You’ll find everything from deodorant to toners and masks. Anything your skin needs, you can find there.
And if you love to get lost on Youtube and learning about how to love your skin, or which clean beauty products preform, check out Pure Beaute’s Youtube channel!
You’ll get to know Miya on a more personal level and she’ll teach you all about skincare and fun DIYs you can make at home. I’m kind of obsessed with her minimalist theme –go check it out!
Anyways, today I’m going to be talking about some clean beauty items Miya sent my way from the brand Kaia Naturals. Thank you Miya for your generosity!
Kaia Naturals Takesumi Detox Deodorant
Miya sent me a sample pack of the Kaia Naturals Takesumi Detox Deodorant in three delicious scents. There is Juicy Bamboo which is lemon scented, Cold Pressed Rose which is a beautiful floral scent, and my personal favorite, Lime Mint which smells like a minty dream!
This sample pack is awesome if you wanted to try out Kaia Naturals, or if you weren’t sure which scent you would like best. But I love it for the convenience of the small tubes, great for keeping in a workout bag or purse, or if you travel a lot you could save one just for your suitcase.
I’ve tried several natural deodorants over the past few years and I’ll admit, I’ve never had issues trying to find one that works. Nearly every single one I’ve used works great as a daily deodorant, when I’m not sweating excessively but would still like to ward off any unpleasant BO.
This deodorant works amazingly as my daily deodorant, and even on days that I’m attending yoga and need a bit more protection, it works great. Although I feel like I should mention, it’s January here in Canada so I haven’t had hot weather to really put it to the test.
Most natural deodorants that I’ve used are quite soft and I feel like I can easily swipe on too much. But the Takesumi Detox Deodorants are quite different in that aspect.
They are more firm and the texture is a lot like mainstream deodorants. So if you’ve been a little put-off by the texture of natural deodorants, I would suggest giving this one a try.
Kaia Naturals Juicy Bamboo Cleansing Cloths
Miya also sent over the Juicy Bamboo Cleansing Cloths from Kaia Naturals. Normally I avoid cloths or cotton pads for the extra waste, but these cloths are completely biodegradable and made from one of the fastest growing resources, bamboo.
It even shows right on the packaging that if you plant the cloth in soil and water it, it will completely disappear within 60-70 days! Plus, they’re made from unbleached bamboo, and saturated in skin-loving vitamins.
These cleansing cloths work overtime in the fragrant department. The smell is quite strong so if you’re sensitive to smells, you may find this a little overpowering.
Kaia Naturals says you can use these cloths to remove makeup, and it did a great job on my face makeup, but it has a harder time with eye makeup. Personally, I used my oil cleanser for my eye makeup so I didn’t have to scrub, and used the cloths on my face.
If you don’t wear a lot of eye makeup I’m sure these cloths would work perfect on your entire face, and if you’re in a rush it’s great because you don’t need to rinse it off after.
Another huge thank you to Miya from Pure Beaute for sending these gems! Definitely go check out her shop, she sends samples with every order and she’s based in Canada!
Have you tried any Kaia Naturals products? What did you think?
