Sore boobs, sleepless nights, crying babies, yellow poop. On everything.
These are the things you get to look forward to as a new mom! Yay, right? Ha
This is my second time ‘round and things are easier this time but last time I hadn’t had any time for my Mommy patience to warm up. This time I have a tiny human running around testing boundaries and pushing buttons, a few more diapers and a bit less sleep is nothing!
It’s a whirlwind, that’s for sure. It’s been two months since this little nugget completed our family and it doesn’t feel like more than three weeks!
I’ve had a chance to try out a few new mommy and baby products and they have turned into new favorites!
If you’ve recently had a baby, or are expecting –congratulations! And if you’re looking for a few really great natural products to use on your new baby and yourself, look no further.
Although these wont help you get more sleep, they will definitely help you enjoy the baby stage a little bit more. Check it out:
Breastfeeding is great, I’m a huge supporter, but it can definitely take a toll! With both my babies I had such sore nipples for the first week or so. They can get very dry and sensitive not to mention how insanely strong a baby can suck! Yikes!
This time around I was lucky enough to have a friend recommend Earth Mama Angle Baby Natural Nipple Butter.
It’s a lot different than the Lanolin cream I’ve tried, it goes on so much smoother and doesn’t cause sensitivity. And of course, it’s perfectly safe for baby and is an all natural formula. Check out the ingredient list:
Ingredients: Olea europaea (organic olive) oil, Theobroma cacao (organic cocoa) seed butter, Butyrospermum parkii (organic shea) butter, Euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax, Mangifera indica (mango) butter, Calendula officinalis (organic calendula) flower extract
I would definitely recommend this to any new Mom, it totally saved me! This would also make a great baby shower gift, it’s something a new Mom might not think of, but will most likely use!
I’ve tried a few baby washes over the past year and a half on my daughter, but I recently bought Baby Hugo Naturals Baby Wash and it’s my new top pick.
What I really like about this formula is that it’s lathers super well, makes my sons skin really soft, and I use just a teeny tiny bit so it’s going to last me forever!
Hugo Naturals is a brand that I’ve started to use more and more and really enjoy. They have a full line of baby products from oil to powder that is definitely worth checking out! Their baby wash scores a 2 on the skin deep data base.

This is my favorite natural baby wash of all that I’ve tried, and seriously smells so good! If you have babies or small children, get your hands on this stuff!
Although I already have natural body lotion I wanted one that I could have handy at the change station, so I bought Carina Organics Baby Lotion. It was cheap and I didn’t think much of it at the time, but I love it so much I usually head to the change station to get lotion for myself!
I’ve never had a lotion that makes my hands feel so soft!! I know that sounds dramatic but I’m not kidding! I’m considering buying another bottle to keep just for myself.
Needless to say, it’s great on my son’s skin, and is unscented which is a huge plus. I haven’t had any problems with it and would recommend it to anyone, baby or not.
The ingredients couldn’t be better, and it scores a perfect 1 on the EWG database.
Ingredients: Filtered Aqua, Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, Elaeis guineensis (palm) oil, Pinus banksiana (pine) extract, Matricaria chamomilla (chamomile) flower extract, Urtica dioca (nettle) leaf extract, Taraxacum officinale (dandelion) leaf extract, Trifolium pratense (clover) flower extract, acetic acid (apple cider vinegar), Olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, Cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed oil
After trying the lotion, I think I’m going to have to try some more products from Carina Organics. If you only try one thing from this post, let it be this lotion!
These three products have quickly become favorites and are better than any non-natural brand I’ve tried! What are your thoughts? Let me know your favorite natural baby products!
