You may have heard of Osmia Organics if you’re into treating your face and body like a holy temple. And if you haven’t, you’re going to want to take notes.

Osmia Organics was founded by Sarah Villafranco when she left a career as an emergency physician to pursue her passion of lotions and potions.

The story of Osmia Organics started the way many great stories do; in a soap making class. Something shifted that day and thus begun Sarah’s journey from medical physician to self-made organic skincare goddess.

If you want to hear the whole story (and trust me, you do) check out Sarah’s version on the website. It’s stories like hers that make me so passionate about green beauty and natural living!

Luz Enzyme Facial Soap

After getting to know Osmia Organics a little better, I had to try something from this all natural line. The ladies at Osmia were generous enough to send me two of their prized possessions, one being the Luz Enzyme Facial Soap.

This golden nugget has made me excited to wash my face. I keep it on my vanity on the cute little soap saver and its sweet aroma smells up my whole bathroom.

It smells like I-just-put-on-my-makeup-but-I-want-to-wash-my-face-again-just-to-smell-it.

That good.

Check out the ingredients and you’ll get a better idea of what I’m talking about.

Ingredients: saponified oils/butters of olea europea (olive)*, responsibly-sourced elaeis guineensis (palm kernel)*, mangifera indica (mango)* and cocos nucifera (coconut)*; prunus dulcis (sweat almond)*, ricinus communis (castor)*, persea gratissma (avocado)* and simmondsia chinensis (jojoba)*; cocos nucifera (coconut) milk*; cucurbita pepo (pumpkin)*; solanum lycopersicum (tomato) paste*; camellia oleifera (camellia) seed oil*; honey*; proprietary blend of organic & wild-harvested essential oils; non-GMO mixed tocopherols; rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) CO2 extract* *Certified Organic

My face literally feels squeaky clean after I use this soap. It makes a nice lather and feels very soothing when I’m washing with it. Another cool thing? It actually brightens your complexion!

The size of this bar with probably throw you off, it looks small but I’ve used it nearly every day for the past week and you can hardly tell. It’s going to last me forever.

I would also recommend spending the $2 and getting the soap saver. First of all, it’s adorable. And secondly, you won’t get that nasty gooey texture on your soap that you will later be rubbing all over your face. It allows it to dry completely and will save your soap (imagine that!).

Brightening Facial Serum

When you think of healthy skin, what comes to mind? Soft, glowing, luminous, hydrated. That’s exactly what this serum was made to do. I’ve been using it for the past week and have definitely noticed how soft my skin has become.

I have been applying it at night after cleansing with the Luz Enzyme Facial Soap (but you could apply it in the morning too) and have been waking up to soft, glowing skin. I like to put on a  moisturizer when the serum dries because I notice a bit of tightening to my skin if I don’t.

Ingredients: camellia sinesis (camellia seed) oil*, argania spinosa (argan) nut oil*, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil*, opunita ficus indica (prickly pear) seed oil*, brassica oleracea italica (broccoli) seed oil, [gluten-free blend of cocoyl hydrolyzed quinoa, rice, and amaranth proteins], vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) seed oil*, cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed oil*, extracts of spirulina platensis (algae)*, centella asiatica (gotu kola)*, camellia sinensis (green tea)*, pascopyron smithii (wheatgrass)*, euterpe oleracea fruit* (and) lycium barbarum fruit*, cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed oil & papain*, lecithin*, corthellus shiitake*, and a proprietary blend of organic and wild-harvested essential oils

Osmia Organics recommends slowly working into using this serum, starting with 3-4 times a week and working up to 7. It could cause a breakout, and if it does just cut back on your usage.

I haven’t noticed any breakouts, and my skin feels amazing using it about 5-6 times a week. I love that I only need a few drops of this serum to cover my whole face so you’ll get some serious bang for your buck.

Pair these two brightening products and you’ve got Osmia’s Brightening Starter Kit (you can also save a few bucks if you buy them together!). You’ll also love they you can order sample sizes from their website so you can try it out without the commitment (and you won’t have to feel guilty for trying like 6 items at once)
