Summer may be over but while you’re busy busting out your knee high boots and long sleeves in every shade of burgundy, don’t forget that your skin is feeling the change too.
The summer heat is gone but so is the humidity, and that means from here on out it just gets colder and drier and colder and d r i e r. . . .
And that means a major change in your skin’s texture and hydration.
Luckily, I’ve found some products by Max and Madeleine that help mend dry skin, and keep it super smooth and hydrated!
And what else do we love to do when the weather gets chilly? Stay in! Max and Madeleine has got you covered!

All Over Moisturizer
If you are looking for a full body lotion that is super clean and hydrating and truly fragrance free, look no further.
This All Over Moisturizer is a serious skin-quencher. It leaves my skin so soft. Take it from a complete hand lotion junkie: this one is a winner. I’m super impressed with how soft my skin is after, and it is legit non-scented. So if scents bother you, this one is a go.
I love applying this to my whole body after a shower, to my hands after I wash them, or just about any time of the day if my skin feels dry.
Keep in mind your skin will absorb better when it is damp or having been just dried, so applying a moisturizer right after a shower or a hand washing is the best time.
The ingredients are super clean, and it even has a lot of organic ingredients. Nothing to worry about here:
Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis (Organic Aloe) Leaf Juice, Lavendula Angustifolia (Organic Lavender) Distillate, Calendula, Argania Spinosa, Anthemis Nobilis (Roman Chamomile), Butyrospermurm Parkii (Organic Shea) Butter, Organic Alcohol Extract of Euterpe Oleracea (Organic Acia) Pulp, Vitis Vinifera (Organic Grape) Seed Oil, Copernicia Cerifera (Organic Carnauba Wax), Organic Glycerin, Tocopherol (Vitamin E) Oil
If you’ve been living under a rock (like myself) and you’ve never used a healing balm, giiirl -get some!
This stuff is the most versatile balm ever. You can use it on just about anything. It contains the healing ingredient Calendula which is naturally very soothing and healing. You can use it to help heal cuts and scrapes, irritated skin, or to add intense moisture to super dry skin.
I used it on my heels because, let’s be real, they need some serious help. After a shower I would add a generous layer to my heel then put on my sock and go to bed. The sock helps keep the healing balm in place all night so you can gain maximum results.
I can see this coming in handy when we get into the colder months when my hands start to see the effects of the dry air.
The ingredient list is also very clean, and safe for all members of the family, big or small.
Ingredients: Cera Alba (Beeswax), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Butter, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oil, Maranta Arundinacea (Arrowroot) Powder. Calendula Officinalis (Calendula), Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E) Oil
These two products together or on their own can help protect your skin against the dry moths ahead. And remember that drinking lots of water is key if you want to keep your skin looking plump and healthy as the dry months aproach!
A huge thank you to Max and Madeline for sending these skin-loving products! If you’re interested in making a few dollars on the side by telling your friends about a super clean body and skincare line that’s safe for the whole family, visit their website and join in the fun!
