Raise your hand if you’re one of the lucky ones who naturally has dark eyelashes and perfectly sculpted brows. Yeah, my hand’s not up if you’re wondering.
You may be surprised to know that although my hair is quite dark and red, my eyelashes and brows are super blonde.
Like, super blonde.
Like, in the summer, they go blonder from the sun and let me tell ya, if they aren’t penciled in, I can look pretty surprised. Or just expressionless.
And if I let them, they’d hold hands in the middle of my face. Yup, these brows are pretty undesirable if I leave them alone too long.
And unfortunitly for my face, it wasn’t until 2014 when I had a friend do my makeup for my wedding that I had ever filled in my brows, but man does that ever change a girls look! Happy to say that I haven’t looked back since.
However, until recently I had only ever used a brow pencil to darken these bad boys up.
But that all changed when I was sent my very first brow pomade from Plume! I’ve been watching people fill in their brows with pomade for a few months now and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t totally intrigued. Truth be told, I’m just a creature of habit, and trying something new is, well, new.
But I couldn’t be happier to be writing this post about my experience with the Plume brow pomade! This creature has a new habit 🙂
Plus, Plume also sent their eyelash Serum, so I’ve been treating my eyelashes to some thickness and growth and I can’t wait to see how they look in a few months!
Nourish & Define Brow Pomade
Plume is definitely what I would refer to as a luxurious brand. I mean, just look at their products, they’re friggin’ gorgeous!!
I got the Brow Pomade in Ashy Daybreak which is the second lightest color out of the five shades in the line.
When you order a Plume brow pomade, they send you this beautiful chrome applicator brush with an angled brush on one side and a brow spoolie on the other to smooth those babies out.
To use the brow pomade, start with the spoolie end to smooth your hair, then dab the angles brush into the pomade and start sculpting. I like to start with the bottom of the brow to get a good shape then fill them in from there.
I like to end with the spoolie side because it also works great to smooth out any harsh lines you may have created while darkening and shaping your brows.
I absolutely love this pomade for a few reasons, first of all, it actually nourishes your brows so that they can come in thicker and more beautiful over time. And second, it is so effortless to apply!
If I compare it to an eyebrow pencil, I would definitely say it is easier to define my brows with the pomade because the angled brush can get in between my hairs easier so that they don’t look patchy or thin.
Also, I feel like I can shape them easier because the angles brush is more precise than a dull pencil (because let’s be honest, I don’t sharpen my brow pencil after every use).
I also love how much longer the pomade is going to last compared to a pencil. This jar may not look very big, but you just need a few dabs on the applicator brush to get beautiful brows, so it’s going to last months!

Lash & Brow Enhancing Serum
Plume also has a Lash & Brow Enhancing Serum to help your lashes (or brows) grow in thick and long.
My brows don’t have any problem in the thickness department, and I really don’t want to encourage more growth, so I’ve been using the serum on my lashes only.
To use, just swipe the applicator to your top and bottom lash line twice a day. Make sure to take before photos so you can track your progress!
I’ve been using the serum for only about two weeks, so I don’t expect to see results for a few more weeks, but I will post a photo when I do!
Plume takes great care when formulating their lash serum. Something that you use that close to your eye should be very mild as your eye area is incredibly sensitive, but if your using Plume, you really don’t have to worry (but still don’t let it get in your eye –ouch!). They even use some organic ingredients.
Ingredients: Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Organic Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Tussilago Farfara (Coltsfoot) Flower Extract, Achillea Millefolium (Yarrow) Extract, Cinchona Succirubra Bark Extract, Water, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Glycerin, Honey Extract, Prunus Amygdalus (Sweet Almond) Oil, Sucrose Laurate, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Nasturtium Officinale (Watercress) Extract, Tropaeolium Majus (Indian Cress) Extract, Xanthan Gum, Coleus Forskohlii Root Oil, Carya Ovata (Hickory) Bark Extract.
Plume has definitely taken my brow game to another level with the Nourish & Define Brow Pomade! I’ve been using it non-stop and it is my new go-to brow product.
I just have to mention how proud I am that Plume is Canadian, I’m beaming with pride!
Thank you Plume for collaborating with me and sending your gorgeous products!
